My Interests | thesamm

Like I said, I'm a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda and I've been having a heck of a time playing Breath of the Wild. It is in my top three favorite Zelda games.

I used to be a big fan of Final Fantasy, although the only one I play anymore is FFXIV (on N.A. Exodus Server). FFIX is my favorite one of all time, however.

My third favorite was Chrono Trigger/Cross. Really amazing games for their day, and honestly amazing even by today's standards.

I also play Pokemon and I'm a fan of Harvest Moon and particularly Rune Factory. That's a series that really does get better with every installment.

I'm starting to venture out from Nintendo on titles like Fallout and The Witcher, but that's to be continued...

I like to watch Let's Plays. My favorite LP is Markiplier because he plays horror games, which often have exceptional storylines--but I'm too much of a sissy to play them, so I just watch him do it and scream when he does. He's also a Genuinely Nice Dude ™.

I don't really watch a lot of TV, but I can name some shows I like. Brooklyn 9-9 is genius. The Leftovers was a trip. I dunno, I don't really watch TV.

I do watch some anime. I liked Fullmetal Alchemist and D. Gray Man (even though I never found out the reason behind the latter's title, which vexes me to this day). One Punch Man was great. I thought Princess Tutu was cute and Puella Magi: Madoka Magicka was the most brutal thing I've ever seen.

Something I like a lot is the horror genre. I watch a lot of ghost shows (not ghost hunter shows--the reenactment ones) and scary movies. My favorite is Sinister.

I'll admit I haven't picked up a new book in a long time, but I used to read a lot. My favorite series were Harry Potter and the Shannara Chronicles. I tend to prefer young adult fantasy (without the forced romantic element).

I also read the Belgariad, which I remember liking but it was so long ago I can barely remember what was in it. I'd like to read it again. I have more books on my "To Read" list than on my "Read" list. Most of the reading I do now is in tutorials and manuals, not very exciting stuff.
